A meeting, chaired by Professor David Armstrong of King’s College London, was held on Monday 12th June. A wide range of experts and patients were invited, but arranging a date that would suit everyone who was interested was impossible. The workshop was held with a core group of experts and a patient from Europa Uomo. Once those attending the meeting have agreed our report of it, our next steps are to circulate the report for further input and discussion to:

• those who were unable to attend
• any other experts who are recommended to us as having an interest
• a range of patients from across Europe

We are very grateful to Susan Knox for her offer of assistance with this and to others for suggestions on individuals and groups who may be interested. We intend to bring the responses from this consultation to the Work Package Steering Group autumn meeting to inform our report to the EUROCAN General Assembly in December.
